Emily + Brian
Time has flown by this summer! It seems like just yesterday we were filming Emily and Brian's wedding day at The Tanglewood House. I have second shot as a photographer (for the always wonderful Bethany Ann Photography *shameless plug*) at this venue before but this was my first time filming there. Everything was perfect that day, from Emily and Brian's outdoor ceremony to their intimate reception inside The Tanglewood House. There were so many wonderful details on their wedding day - it was a lot of fun capturing and editing them all together.

April Booking Special
For many reasons, April is one of my favorite months of the year! Here's just a couple of them: 1. It finally starts to feel Spring-y. 2. My sons' daycare does a fundraiser for St Jude Children's Research Hospital and I just LOVE fundraising for charity! No sarcasm there - I really enjoy it. :) So this year we'll be donating 10% of all video production services booked during the month of April to St Jude's. This includes wedding videos, virtual tours, commercials, instructional videos, etc. These services can be for any date, during any month, they just have to be reserved by April 30, 2014. Contact us at 931-920-4220 or info@turningpointproductions.com for more information!

Kelly + Loren
When I found out that Kelly was having a small wedding at her home, I immediately knew that I was going to offer to film it for her. I knew this for several reasons:
1. I like Kelly. She's funny and sarcastic and I can totally relate to that. :)
2. While I do enjoy a big party, there's something so genuine and comfortable about quaint weddings at home. Filming small weddings is so relaxing and everyone is always welcoming. I really enjoy the atmosphere.
3. I truly believe that everyone deserves a wedding video. Kelly's first reaction when I asked her if she wanted a video was, "I can't afford you". I had a literal LOL and then told her I wanted to do it for free.
I knew there was a reason I wanted to be there that day and I'm so happy that I ended up being a part of their wedding day. Kelly's daughter made a toast after the ceremony that I believe was just wise beyond her years. Everything she said was so heart-felt and I think it would be sad if they didn't have that moment on video. I'm glad I was there filming that day and I'm excited for Kelly and Loren's future together with their big, happy family!

Emily & Sean: The Mosaic
I am beyond late posting Emily and Sean's mosaic film! I was swamped with editing this past year but I was determined to get Emily and Sean their wedding DVDs by Christmas. I literally delivered the DVDs to their house at 9 pm on Christmas Eve. I take my deadlines seriously apparently! :) Emily and Sean were such a pleasure to be around and to film on their wedding day. They had one of my favorite ceremonies of the year. It was so unique and genuine and I especially loved their vows, not only for the zombie apocalypse reference, but also because you could tell they really meant everything that they had written for each other. Emily and Sean have always been so friendly and inviting, from filming their Love Story to capturing their wedding day to patiently waiting for their DVDs, they are a great couple and I'm so glad that we were there on their special day!

Casey & Daniel: The Mosaic
Casey and Daniel hosted such a stunning wedding day! It was one of my favorite weddings of the year and every detail seemed to be perfect, probably due to the fact that Daniel's mom and Casey are both event coordinators. The held a beautiful ceremony at one of my favorite local churches, Madison Street United Methodist Church, and then hosted their reception at the scenic Wilma Rudolph Event Center. It was such a gorgeous, wonderful day and I'm glad that we got to be a part of it. Congrats Casey and Daniel!

Sharon + Sage
Oh how I loved Sharon and Sage's wedding day! Sharon's bridesmaids and maid of honor, also one of our former brides, hired us, as a surprise to Sharon, to film her wedding day. When's Sharon's maid of honor initially contacted me about the surprise, I immediately thought "Best. Bridesmaids. Ever." What an awesome gift from the bridal party?! I didn't meet Sharon and Sage until their wedding day but they were so kind and welcoming; it's not surprising that they have such thoughtful and wonderful friends. Their wedding day was so stunning and their ceremony was seriously perfect. So, just as Sharon's bridesmaids surprised her with a video, I decided to surprise her and Sage with a bonus ceremony highlights film. :) Enjoy! SPOILER ALERT: Check out what is quite possibly the most adorable flower girl moment EVAH at about :58

Emily + Sean: The Love Story
I was thrilled when Emily told me that her and her fiancee Sean wanted a Love Story to play at their reception! I love that I was able to get to know Emily and Sean a little before I filmed their wedding day, and shooting their Love Story gave me the opportunity to do so. Plus, it was fun to learn about their history together and what lead them up to their big day. Listening to how they speak about each other and watching how they interact with each other, it's obvious how in love they are and how they are just meant to be! I love that when I asked them individually "when did you know that ____ was the one?", they both gave the same response. :) Also, the story of Sean's proposal is so cute and funny - they really are a great couple! I'm so happy that I was able to meet Emily and Sean and be a part of their special day.

Jordan & Andree
I was SO excited when Jordan & Andree hired us to film their wedding day! I liked Jordan from the moment I met her - she was positive and happy and everything that a bride should be! :) I didn't meet Andree until their wedding day but he was such a great groom as well. They were both so genuine and easy going and we're really glad we could be there to capture their wedding day. One of my favorite moments was Andree's reaction when he saw Jordan for the first time. He had the best facial expression and body language - it was really cute so we had to include it in their highlights!

Emily & Sean: The Trailer
Emily and Sean are the NICEST and SWEETEST couple ever! (note the caps lock - that's how you know I mean it) They are perfect for each other and I'm so glad we were there to film their wedding day. They had a beautiful ceremony outside at the Joe Swing Rec Facility on post, followed by a fun-filled ceremony inside. I had tons of fun watching their reception dance footage, pulling out clips for their trailer film. Emily and Sean hired the Joel Brown Band to perform at their reception, and live music always gets people on their feet so there was plenty of dance footage to choose from! Can't wait to edit the rest of their films!

Casey & Daniel: The Trailer
I was SO excited to film Casey and Daniel's wedding day! Both Casey and Daniel's mom, Terri, are event coordinators, so I knew that everything would be beautiful. Plus, this year, every time I filmed an event that they coordinated, I bugged them for details about the wedding day. :) The whole wedding day was beautiful and perfect and I'm so happy that we were there to film it for them.

Stacey & Mason
We just loved Stacey and Mason's ceremony! So much so, that we decided to edit a surprise ceremony highlights film for them! They had such a sweet, intimate outdoor ceremony at Shadowbrook - they both looked so happy and so love, and we're really thankful that we were able to be a part of their wedding day and film their beautiful ceremony and reception.

Becky & Allen
I had such a great time at Becky and Allen's wedding! Becky owns Rewind Academy of Dance here in Clarksville, and I met her last year when she contacted us to film her studio's recital. Later on, some family, friends, and I took a dance class at Rewind (we are HILARIOUS dancers) :) and we were so excited when Becky booked us to film her wedding day!
Becky and Allen are such an easy going couple, which always makes the wedding day more fun. Now, let me just say, I've been to a lot of wedding ceremonies, and I do mean A LOT. But there were 3 awesomely unique moments from Becky and Allen's ceremony that I just love!
1. They said their vows at the same time (at least, they were supposed to). :)
2. The big, collective "Awwwww" by all of their guests right after they kissed.
3. Their post-kiss high five (I do love a good high five).
I hope you enjoy watching these wonderful ceremony moments in their highlights film!

Brianna & Ethan: The Mosaic
Brianna and Ethan's wedding was so beautiful! One of my favorite moments from the day was their "no look", which they shared around the corner from each other before the ceremony. Ethan broke the ice with a little wedding joke (50 seconds in if you're in the mood for a laugh). :) They are such a great couple and we're so happy that we got to be a part of their wedding day.

Samantha & Manuel
Sometimes editing a highlights film for a wedding is just easy. The footage flows so effortlessly together, everyone's smiling and laughing, and it's so obvious that the bride and groom are happy together and meant to be. That's how I feel about Samantha and Manuel's mosaic film. It was so great getting to spend their wedding day with them, where they were surrounded by such happy and supportive friends and family. My favorite part of their wedding day was when the bride and grooms' guests serenaded them at the reception, and that ended up being my inspiration for their highlights film. Enjoy!

Google+
SO, earlier this week, I decided to create a Google+ page for Turning Point Productions. Somehow, in the process of trying to connect the new Google+ page with our YouTube channel, I managed to delete our channel and ALL of our videos. Needless to say, I was distraught. But, at the end of the day, it's nothing that can't be fixed. So, after slapping myself with some perspective, the next day at work I re-uploaded all of our most recent videos on our brand new YouTube channel, which I successfully linked to our Google+ page...I think. Click here or visit youtube.com/solsticebridal to see our new YouTube channel. And then don't forget to click here and follow us on Google+.

Brianna and Ethan had such a happy, romantic wedding day. They were so excited and so ready to get married, and there was so much love and support from family and friends at their wedding. I love that we were able to be a part of their special day and film all of the sweet moments that they had together. Here's their trailer film - a little sneak peak from their beautiful wedding day!

A Family Affair
Last month, my beautiful sister got married in Charlotte, North Carolina! Whoo hoo!! It's been a LONG time since I went to a wedding where I wasn't working and I absolutely LOVED it! Since my husband and I were in the wedding party, we were unable to film the wedding day. My sister's planners, Jill and Katie of The Charmed Event, referred us to the always wonderful Hayzen's Productions, who filmed the event and then sent us the footage to edit. I edited together this Trailer for my sister and now brother-in-law - we had SO MUCH FUN and I really wanted to convey that in the first film that they got to watch from their wedding day.
