So, now that we've settle in here in Florida, I've decided to change my business name and we're now Emerald Coast Films! We are still filming and editing events in the Clarksville-Nashville-Hopkinsville area (and I love a good reason to go visit all our friends up there!) but now we're also serving the panhandle area. Coming Soon: Katherine & Joshua

Well, this was my last wedding in Clarksville this year. I hope to book more up there next year so I can go visit my friends and all the awesome wedding vendors I've met over the years. I think it was really fitting that Katherine and Josh's wedding took place at Madison Street United Methodist Church and the Clarksville Country Club. Out of all the venues in Clarksville, we shot at that church and that reception venue the most. It really was the perfect way to finish my time living up there. And I couldn't have asked for a better wedding day to film! Katherine and Josh's wedding day was perfect - the bridal party, family & friends were awesome, the weather was great, and everything worked out perfectly. I can't wait to get to work on their films, and hopefully I'll be back at MSUMC and the Country Club soon for another amazing wedding day!

Ami + Will

3:00 pm We arrived at Pennryile State Park to film Ami aka The Bride getting ready for her wedding day.

5:00 pm We headed over to the outdoor ceremony site to film Will aka The Groom and shoot some b-roll.

5:30 pm The bottom dropped out. It was raining. Like, SERIOUSLY pouring. We hid under some trees.

The ceremony was supposed to start in an hour and there was no plan B. Then at about 6:00 pm, or 1 minute and 19 seconds into this highlights film, something amazing happened. The clouds parted, the sun came out, and it was like the rain never even happened. It. Was. Perfect.

Let's talk about the greatest wedding gift ever. Seriously, Robert hit this one out of the park. I don't want to spoil it so you're going to have to watch the trailer film but this groom's gift to his bride Kayla made for the sweetest first look that I've filmed all year. Enjoy!

Emily + Brian

Time has flown by this summer! It seems like just yesterday we were filming Emily and Brian's wedding day at The Tanglewood House. I have second shot as a photographer (for the always wonderful Bethany Ann Photography *shameless plug*) at this venue before but this was my first time filming there. Everything was perfect that day, from Emily and Brian's outdoor ceremony to their intimate reception inside The Tanglewood House. There were so many wonderful details on their wedding day - it was a lot of fun capturing and editing them all together.

Carrie + Nick: The Trailer

This whole wedding season, I have been so excited for Carrie and Nick's wedding day! I didn't get to meet them until their wedding day but I had spoken with both of them on the phone and via e-mail, and I could just tell that it was going to be a sweet and fun wedding day. Carrie is quite possibly the craftiest bride I've ever met. There were so many special, unique pieces that she created for her wedding day and it was obvious that both her and Nick put a lot of thought and effort into all of the aspects of their wedding day. So, to Carrie and Nick, I hope that you enjoy your wedding trailer and I can't wait to edit and share all of your wedding day films with you!

One of my favorite things about this house has to be the color. I love that when giving directions, you can just say "It's the yellow house!" and people can easily find your home.

Lindsey & Josh

Blog fail! I uploaded Lindsey and Josh's mosaic film online a couple months ago and never added it to the blog. So, better late than never, I'm happy to finally be sharing some highlights from their wedding day! But first, let's back up a few months to March 2014. Filming Lindsey and Josh's wedding day was such a great way to start the wedding season! Everyone at the wedding, bridal party, family, and guests, were all a lot of fun, and we really enjoyed getting to be a part of Lindsey and Josh's special day. This was our first time shooting at both Oakwood Free Will Baptist Church and Valor Hall Conference & Event Center, and we loved getting to film at these new venues (well, new to us). :)

Homes For Sale

We recently filmed and photographed some homes for sale for Larry Chappell over at ERA and Jeffrey Danault with Keller Williams. First up is a fun home on Hazelwood Drive in Clarksville! I was so happy I was able to shoot on one of our rare sunny days this winter (seriously, I'm sick of the cloudy days).

I REALLY love the floor plan in this house. It has a nice, open kitchen & dining room:

Next up is this awesome property we shot for Jeffrey Danault. This Squirrel Drive home is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood in Dover. I got to talk to the homeowners and they really love living there, so much so that they are actually moving into another house in the same neighborhood. I think that really speaks volumes about how enjoyable it is to live there.

Becky & Allen

I had such a great time at Becky and Allen's wedding! Becky owns Rewind Academy of Dance here in Clarksville, and I met her last year when she contacted us to film her studio's recital. Later on, some family, friends, and I took a dance class at Rewind (we are HILARIOUS dancers) :) and we were so excited when Becky booked us to film her wedding day!

Becky and Allen are such an easy going couple, which always makes the wedding day more fun. Now, let me just say, I've been to a lot of wedding ceremonies, and I do mean A LOT. But there were 3 awesomely unique moments from Becky and Allen's ceremony that I just love!

1. They said their vows at the same time (at least, they were supposed to). :)
2. The big, collective "Awwwww" by all of their guests right after they kissed.
3. Their post-kiss high five (I do love a good high five).

Sport's Highlights

It's that time of year again! Seniors are getting ready to graduate from high school and go on to college. For us, that means it's sport's highlights season! High school athletes who are hoping to play in college need highlight reels to send to colleges, so they often come to us with their footage from recent games, and we edit the best shots together to make their highlights videos. Thanks to YouTube, most athletes don't have to send DVDs to recruiters any more; we upload the highlights film to YouTube and then the players can send the link to college recruiters so they can watch it online.

Here's a sample football highlights film that we edited last year. (reminder: this is not our footage - just our editing)

The above video was for a junior at Clarksville Academy. Because, in football, it's hard to know which player to watch at the beginning of a play, the client asked me to highlight the player with a red square. We customize each sport's highlights film at the client's request. Below is our most recent highlights film. This one is for a senior at Clarksville High School, and the client asked that his footage be edited to a requested song.

Virtual Tour

A couple weeks ago, we filmed a virtual home tour for the Felicia Long Team. The home is SO beautiful - and if you happen to be looking for a home here in Clarksville, I believe it's still on the market. One of my favorite parts of the home has to be the master bathroom - I love slate tile and I especially love the His & Hers walk-in master closets. I'm definitely going to be looking for separate closets in our next home! Another perk to this house is the bonus room which includes a Sony home theatre system & Bose surround sound - we're Sony & Bose snobs so that's ideal for us! Sadly, we're not on the market for a new home, but I know someone is going to fall in love with this house, especially when they get a look at the backyard! Jackie & Mike

Jackie and Mike got married last month on Jackie's family farm. They held their ceremony in front of a gazebo on the farm, while their guests sat perched on hay bails watching the happy couple commit their lives to one another. Their reception was in a huge, beautiful barn, surrounded by trees and fields. It was everything about southern weddings that I love! Jackie and Mike are such a happy, easy going couple - this laid back farm setting was just perfect for their wedding day!

Fire & Ice

WAY back in June, we filmed an ice carving demonstration by Fire & Ice at the ClarksvilleBrides.com Summer Social. At the time, we were well into wedding season so we were busy editing wedding videos and we never got a chance to share the footage. Well, now that we are all caught up with editing, we put a little demo film together. It was so fun watching Ross Wilson do the original carving - it's definitely worth a minute of your time to watch a sped-up version of the carving! Hey June!

It's June! So for us that means we're well into wedding season, PLUS it's time for dance recitals! This year (tomorrow actually), we're filming "Own the Floor" by REWIND Academy of Dance at the APSU Clement Auditorium. We're super familiar with shooting there since that's where we film the annual Miss River Queen & Teen Pageant, so we're excited to head back to the auditorium tomorrow for another event.
